Southtowns Stars Releases & Refunds
Dedicated to providing high-quality recreational sports programs for the youth of our community since 1995.
Releases
The Southtowns Stars general policy on releases is as follows:
- Releases can be requested, but generally will not be honored unless there's an EXTREME circumstance that warrants it.
- An injury that causes a player to be unable to play DOES NOT constitute a release.
- Leaving a team by choice or deciding not to play DOES NOT mean the player has been given a release.
- Disciplinary action resulting in a player being removed from playing for the team DOES NOT grant the player a release.
If you are looking to request a release, please make a board inquiry detailing the player, what team they're on, and the reason you're requesting a release. The Board of Directors will review the inquiry and make a decision, which will be communicated with you as soon as possible.
Refunds
The Southtowns Stars general policy on refunds is, by default, a strict NO-REFUND policy. Organizational and team budgets are set at the start of the season, based on the number of players registered to a team. As such, there are very limited circumstances where a refund will be granted. Some notes on this:
- Deposits are NOT refundable and should not be requested for refund.
- An injury that causes a player to be unable to play DOES NOT imply that a player will be granted a refund.
- Injured players are still considered part of their team and are encouraged to continue joining team activities, where possible.
- Leaving a team by choice or deciding not to play DOES NOT warrant a refund.
- Disciplinary action resulting in a player being removed from playing for the team DOES NOT grant a player reason to receive a refund.
- This list is not an exhaustive list of reasons, each case will be reviewed based on the information collected by the organization.
If you would still like to request a refund: please make a board inquiry detailing the player, what team they're on, and the reason you're requesting a refund. The Board of Directors will review the inquiry and make a decision, which will be communicated with you as soon as possible.

About us
Our Mission
TeamSnap Sports was founded with a simple goal: to give every child in our community the chance to play, learn, and grow through sports. What started as a small soccer league with 10 teams has grown into a multi-sport organization serving over 2,000 families annually.
We believe that sports are about more than just winning. They are a vehicle for teaching life lessons, building resilience, and fostering lifelong friendships. Our recreational leagues prioritize equal playing time and skill development over competition, ensuring that every player feels valued.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we reinvest all proceeds into field maintenance, equipment upgrades, and scholarship programs for families in financial need.
